Frequently asked questions

What is MCP?

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI assistants use tools on websites. Here the tool is Kortjakt's price search: the assistant can look up cards, prices and stores for you.

Does it cost anything?

No. It is free, with no account and no key.

Which stores are included?

They are the same Norwegian stores that an ordinary search asks: Collectible, Midgard Games, Alta Kube, Tryllepapp, Adamstuen Retro, Korthaien and Outland. Stores abroad are included when the assistant asks for them. See the store overview.

Why were some stores missing from the answer?

Each store can only take a certain number of lookups a minute, and each lookup takes time. If the limit or the time limit is reached, the answer says which stores were not checked. Ask again a minute later and the rest is filled in: finished lookups stay in the cache for a few minutes.

Can I use it in my own program?

Yes. Any MCP client over HTTP can use the address. Please do not call it in loops, and remember that answers are cached for a few minutes.

Where do my questions end up?

The assistant only sends card names, filters and lists to Kortjakt. We do not see your conversation. We count which tools and which cards are used, with nothing that can be tied back to you.
